About the Blogger Recognition Award

Why I started to blog
I had wanted to blog for so long, and finally took the plunge at the start of 2019! My inspiration came from reading and loving other blogs, and wanting an opportunity to be more creative and practice my writing skills. A book blog came about after working in the library for a little while and getting sucked in to a little thing called Bookstagram. Finding a community of people just like me really pushed me to make the leap from just reading to actively creating content for myself! ☺️
My advice for new bloggers
There is so much advice I could share as I’ve learnt so much already, but if I were to consolidate my thoughts into just two points they would be…
- Be organised. Try and write up as many blog posts as you can before you ‘launch’, that way you have a little cushion for those days where you just don’t have time or are really not feeling it. Having some back-up photos/posts ready can make you feel a lot less stressed. It’s important to have fun with your blog, or you might find yourself burning out pretty fast.
- Be yourself. You aren’t going to be like the other bloggers right away. In fact, you might never reach their ‘level’, but instead build yourself your own ‘level’ that is just as cool if not cooler! Instead of envying the big popular blogs, use that as motivation. They started right where you are, so anything is possible!
